About this event
Join Alexandra for an evening of kirtan, a joyful and meditative practice from the bhakti yoga tradition that brings people together through music, mantra, and shared intention! ππΆ
Through call-and-response chanting accompanied by harmonium and percussion, we create a space to connect with ourselves, with one another, and with the heart of the practice ποΈ
No previous experience with chanting, singing, or yoga is necessary. You do not need to be musical to participate. Whether you choose to sing along, sit quietly in meditation, or simply listen and receive, you are welcome exactly as you are.
β¨ About Alexandra β¨ Alexandra McRobert first discovered bhakti yoga during her 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Baja California, Mexico, in 2014. From the moment she experienced the transformative power of devotional chanting, something awakened within her. She left with a quiet knowing that one day she would lead kirtan, though it would take another eleven years before she finally answered that inner calling and began learning the harmonium.
Today, Alexandra shares bhakti as a living practice of devotion, presence, and love. Through kirtan, mantra, and sacred song, she invites others to experience the heart of yoga beyond the physical practice. She has led kirtans throughout Bali and weaves the traditions of bhakti yoga into her retreats and yoga teacher trainings, creating spaces where community, music, and devotion become a path back to the Divine.
